busy, busy, busy
















So we have been extremely busy lately. As most of you know Morgan and I decided to rip of the carpeting through our house beccause we discovered beautiful hardwood floors underneath. We decided to take on the challenge of re-doing those floors. It is now 4 weeks later and we have done the computer room, living room/hallway, seths room and skylars room. We started with the computer room and completly finished that floor before we decided to take on the rest of the house. So we have been on our hands and knees for the last 4 weeks everynight pretty much after work sanding and stripping the floors and staining the floors and it has been a long process but well worth it. So here are some pictures of the living room and skys room and the different sports team logos that we painted by ourselves in seths room. We saved ourselves probably about $300 by hand painting the symbols instead of buying the stickers to go on the walls. We also had a lot of fun working together and knowing that we completed these projects together. I am currently training for my first 5km run on October 3rd, and I am still debating on doing a half marathon in February. We will see either way the exercise is good for me. I have for the most part been able to maintain my weight but still have lots to loose, so I am hoping that this will motivate me to get moving and loose some more weight before I go home in October. We have gotten the kids back full time again now that school has started so I am still getting used to having two other people to get ready in the morning instead of just myself and Morgan leaves at 4 in the morning so he is long goen by the time we get up. We are adjusting well and the kids are enjoying being back at our house and back in school. So we are hoping that this is going to be a great year for them this year. Well that is all that is new for us at this moment so I will post again later.

Not much going on.






So there hasn't been much going on in the way of weight loss, however our life has been very busy as you can tell by the lack my my postings. Well we had weight in day today and I am down 10.4 pounds so I haven't really been loosing but I have been maintaining. I have lost 14.75 inches from all over which is great because my clothes are fitting very loosly. We started a new project this weekend we have torn up the carpet in our spare bedroom and are attempting to refinish the beautiful wood floors that were hidden underneath. I think we are going to try to distress them by hitting them with chains and blots and I can't wait to see the finished product. I am at work and we are really busy so I am making this short. But here is a picture of morgan and I from this last week. Can't wait to see everybody in October.

July 4th Weekend







Well we had a GREAT weekend with everyone up in Hemphill. We stayed with Morgans grandparents, and went back and forth between there and his Aunt Terrys house. Uncle Cornell and Aunt Terry put on the best fireworks that lasted over an hour straight. I don't have much time to post but I wanted to get these pictures up before I forget. Not much progress this weigh in

Well I paid for my week of bad behaviour, because I only lost 1 pound at yesterdays weight in. I am glad though that at least I lost something instead of gaining. So this week starts my last week of phase 2 and than I am on to phase 3 which is where they say you see the most dramatic changes in your body. I can't wait for that. I am hoping that I should be down under 190 by next weight in. It is possible. I am just excited that I hit the 10 lbs mark. I think it is crazy how long it seems to be getting this weight off but I don't remember it taking this long to put it on. Although I think it will make it easier for me to now regain it now that I have worked this hard getting it off. I think I'm just going to be to scared to gain it knowing that if I do I will have to do this all over again. I am glad that we have a pool that we can go to for free, the kids enjoy spending all day in the pool and Morgan and I enjoy it as well. If we get there early enough I am able to do some laps in the pool before everyone shows up. We will be going to Hemphill this weekend and I am pretty excited to get to spend the weekend with morgans grandparents and his family there. Normally when we go visit it can be a bit hectic because all of us are there together. So it will be nice for it to be just Morgan and the kids. Because this next week is my "rest" week it will be a lot easier for me to get my workouts done there because all I will have to take is my yoga mat and my resistance bands. There is no weights this week. I am looking forward to going to be fat blaster class tonight at the rec center. I didn't get to go last week because we just had to much going on. So we are back at it again tonight. Looking forward to it. Anyways I am going to go hit the showers before I head off to work. I really am starting to hate seeing 4:30 in the morning and wish I was able to sleep in and just wake up whenever I want to. Have a good day.

Starting this week over

So I am starting this week over, not the whole program (although before I go home in octocber I might try to start the whole program over). I got off track this last weekend, I had full intentions to do my workouts and to get up early to make sure they got done. However I have not worked out int he last week. So I started the week over again this morning. So now I am half way done again. Next week is my rest week, not sure why they call it a rest week because those weeks are all cardio so I find the workouts a little more intense. I think we have decided to go to Hemphill next weekend for the 4th of July celebration. Would it be wrong to dress the kids in the Canada Day wear that my mom sent down? I personally think it would be hilarious. Anyways I did try to start me week over again on Monday but you see I had a little accident on Monday night during my workout. I was doing the Back and Bicep workout. i use resistance bands instead of weight for two reasons. 1. because they don't cost as much as buying a whole set of weights 2. i can pack them up and bring them with me a whole lot easier. The only thing wrong with resistance bands that I have found out is that after you have used them for awhile they start to get these little tears in them. When you still use them with these tears in them they sometimes break. Well let me tell youwhen they break when you have the resistance set really REALLY tight and you are doing a congdon curl (which is a bicep curl that you do but you bring your arms out in front of you to do the curl so you are curing up towards your face) and it breaks with the curl pointed directly at your nose..it HURTS....BAD. So we went and bought another resistance band (thanks goodness they are only $10) but I have been a little nervous to do the moves that I need to do. So I got over my fear this morning. I have done my workout and I will go to my Fat Blaster class this evening. I do have a small bruise on my nose and a little bump. I am just thankful that I didn't end up with 2 black eyes likeI though I would. Anyways I now have 45 minutes to shower and blowdry my hair and get dressed and make a lunch and eat breakfast and get out the door to work. So I will post again later... Love you all

I have to stay on track


So I have been doing really good, until this past 4 days. I worked out twice on Thursday like I always do. I usually work out twice on tuesdays and thursdays because I do my P90X workout in the morning and then I go to a class with a bunch of girls from work at night. Well I did good Thursday but Friday came along and I didn't do so well. I had full intentions of getting up at 5 to get my workout done. But Thursday night we were up late planning and getting ready for my mother in laws 52 surprise birthday party. So I was tired and didn't get up early and then Friday I planned on working out that night, but Morgans grandparents were down from Hemphill and I just never got around to doing it. We got up early Saturday morning to get ready for the party and we were are the beach from 8 a.n. until 4:30 p.m. and when we got home Skylar was running a fever of 105 degrees. So needless to say I was caring for her and didn't get my workout in that night either. And Sunday well that was fathers day and so we went out for lunch before Morgans grandparents went home (I limited myself to 2 rolls) and then we had promised the kids that we would go swimming. We ended up being at the pool from 3 ish until 6:15 so at least swimming was some kind of exercise and Saturday we did a lot of walking and hauling coolers and all I drank was water and unsweetend tea. I did have 2 pieces of cake though. But anyways I am trying to get back on track and am really lacking the motivation. I am half way done I am going to start this last week over because I don't want to just skip the workouts. So I just need to find the motivation to get through these net 45 days and if I can loose another 10 pounds that would be awesome. I am planning on going home in October for my cousins wedding and I really want to look good. Anyways I am going to go do my workout now. But I just wanted to post this picture of me us from yesterday. The skirt I am wearing in the picture I havent been able to fit into since we went to Mexico and even then I probably shoudln't have been wearing it, it was so tight. And in this picture I wasn't even having to wear a baggy t-shirt to cover up anything. So yeah me..k gotta keep going..i think i can I think i can I think I can.

Photo after phase 1


So these are pictures of me from today. One month ago when my family was here visiting I wore those shorts and they fit but were uncomfortably tight. I am starting to see some really nice results and am starting to feel like my hard work is paying off. I will admit that if I watched my eating more that I would probably being seeing much better results. However I have been able to stick with it longer by not being as strict on my diet. So anyways...yeah me I am off to bed now because Morgan and the kids have gone fishing. Apparently they like fishing when you can't see anything. I have a huge headache that hasn't left me since I woke up this morning. But since I didn't think my mom would appreciate a headache for my little sisters graduation today (congrats kate) I kept it all to myself. Goodnight

Week 1 of Phase 2

So After tomorrow I will be done the first week of phase 2. For some reason whenever I start seeing results I like I end up not having the motivation anymore to keep going. It should really be the opposite shouldn't it? I should see what I have accomplished so far and want to keep going. Anyways I have been wanting to slack on my workouts but I have kept pushing myself this week. I attended a fat burning class at the rec center here in town tonight with a friend from work. It is a great class and the teacher really knows how to keep you going. The style of the class is like the turbo jam videos with Chalene Johnson which I love and I owe her whole set of dvd. But there is just something about going to a class that makes me push myself harder. I guess because I don't want to quit in front of everyone. I have been using these classes lately to help me get through my weeks worth of workouts. It is like that class makes me push harder for the rest of my workouts because I can see what I can actually do.Anyways I really enjoyed my class tonight and we got our results from last mondays weigh in at work and I am down 2.68% of my own body weight. Not sure what the equals up to in pounds exactly but we have another weight in again this coming monday. I am excited to see how I have done. I have had this knot in between my shoulder blades for a few weeks now and I just can't seem to get it to pop. I figure I will more just the right way one of these days and I will get it. I miss my chiropractor from home, I don't want to have to pay to go see the DR. to get a referral to go pay to see the chiropractor. I will just wait until the next time I am home and go see Dr. Kevin. Anyways I am going to go hit the shower and I am off to bed. Morgan is finally feeling better he got sick after Skylar this weekend so I am glad to have my whole family back in good health. I am also glad that somehow (knock on wood) I seemed to avoid it. Anyways good night.

Continued...

So I was just finishing up the other day when my daughter got sick again. Well she is all better today she slept for like 4 hours straight yesterday and when we asked her if she felt ok she always replied "I'm just really tired" and she would close her eyes and go back to sleep. Well she is back to her normal self today...I don't think she has stopped talking since she woke up this morning. We had a pretty boring day today, Mogan left to go fishing at 5:00 this morning and so I got to sleep in until about 8 when I could hear the munchkins roaming around and decided to get up before they got into something that they would get into trouble for. Skylar is still kinda scared to eat anything because she thinks that is what made her sick. Morgan came home around 10 so we switched off and he entertained the kids while I did todays workout and the workout from yesterday that I failed to do. When I was done working out Morgan fell asleep at about 1:00 and he woke up at around 4:30. He felt fine when he woke up but by about 7:00 he wasn't feeling well either. He has been sick all night since then, and I even ran to the store to get him Dr.Pepper and lemons (he said that always makes him feel better) so I heated up Dr.Pepper and added some lemon juice to it and gave it to him. He says that he is freezing meanwhile I turned up the air to 75 and now I am sweating. So he took some tylenol PM and went to bed. The kiddos are watching a movie and I have time to check everyones blogs and facebook and my e mail. The workouts that I have been doing this week have been very different from the phase 1..it seems like there are more pushups, but I am able to do more so I guess that is a good thing. I am starting to notice a big change in the way my clothes fit me. I am also starting to see a little bit of definition in my arms...thanks to all those pushups. I still don't think I would be able to do a pull up though my back just isn't strong enough for that yet. Not only do I get my good looks from my mother but I also inherited her bones...which is why I am working now to strengthen my muscles and live healthier. Love you mom. I am actually starting to like the yoga workout. It is super hard and I sweat like crazy during the first half but then during the second half is a lot of balance work. I got up at 4:30 almost every morning this week with morgan to make sure I got my workouts in and I think I like getting them done in the morning. I sleep better at night and I have more energy through the day and I seem to have more patience during the days as well. Which is good during registration. Well my kids are starting to realize that they are alone and are starting to get pretty loud. I better go wake them up before they wake up morgan. Will try to post again soon. Good night

Phase 1 complete

Well...ok long time no post.Sorry, but I have still been very faithfull with my working out..blogging not so much. But I have completed Phase 1. Before Morgan and I went to Mexico I was down 8 pounds and some inches. Well once we got back I had gained it all back and then some. So I started again at day 1 and have now worked through the first phase and I am almost back to where I was before mexico. I still need to loose 2 pounds to be back at that weight but I have actually lost more inches this time. So that is enough motivation for me, I don't care so much what I weigh it is how my clothes fit me and right now my clothes are fitting me great. I am going to keep going and I will try to be more faithful with blogging. So I had my rest week last week and by rest week I dont mean that I got to sit and do nothing I mean it was no weight lifting last week. Last week was full of yoga and plyometrics and core synegistics. I have a new love hate relationship with core synergistics...I have also been doing a fat blaster class at least once a week at our rec center here in angleton with a few girls from work. Tonight was seths last baseball game but about 30 minutes into it skylar complained of having an upset stomach so I told her to go try going to the bathroom well she cam back and had gotten sick in the bathroom so Morgan drove us home and she got in the bath and she just got out and says she is feeling better. Opps she is running to the bathroom blog again later.

I HAVE COMMITTED......

Ok, I started all over again. I did day 1 yesterday and so today is my day 2. I have done my workout already for this morning and I feel great. I mean I am sore but I feel great, last night I was actually able to do 4 decline pushups which is great for me. This morning I got up early to do plyo (the mother of all workouts) because I knew that I would be busy getting ready for my parents and sister to come tomorrow. I can't wait for them to get here. But I am going to have to be strong and workout while they are here. But I know my mom will speak up when I start to slack. Anyways I am going to get back to work, but just wanted to let you all know that I am back on track. The biggest loser competition has ended and I ended up in the negatives. I actually weighed more at the end then I did in the beginning. Which is why I am back at working out. I decided that I need to not be so strict with my eating because that just makes me want the bad stuff more. So I am just going to make healthier choices and keep on working out.

I've been very bad

Well...I am backa t it again. It has taken me this long after our honeymoon to realize that I need to get back on the wagon. I started again on Monday, not doing P90X but back into the eating healthy. I think we are going to need to wait until Morgan is done school at the end of this month to re-start P90X. He is just to tired when he gets home to give that much effort into a workout. So we WILL start again at the end of this month. The weigh in after the honeymoon WAS NOT good, I have still overall lost 5 pounds, but I gained three back(which put me to number 17 on the charts from number 7) After seeing that I kinda lost my motivation. I told Morgan, after that much of a set back do I just give up or push REALLY hard. So it took me a week to decide that I just really need to push hard. We are going to Hemphill this weekend for Easter (where we got married) to Morgans grandparents house. I love going to see his family and I can't wait to spend a long weekend with them (and beat them in mexican train) I also love eating the food up there. However I am going to be good this weekend. Morgan and I just bough a food saver, so I am going to make all of my meals for the weekend on Wednesday night and put them in food saver bags and then I can put them in a cooler and have all my healthy meals, in the right proportions. All I will have to do is open the bags and heat up my meals. I am just going to have to avoid all of the other temptation that I know will be there. I was doing really good yesterday, and I mean REALLY good until I got home and there was a parcel from my mom on the door step with homemade cookies in it( THEY WERE AWESOME) but I'm not sure if it was just because of the fact that I knew my mom made them. You know I have been thinking about my parents a lot lately, they are just the most amazing people. You really don't know how lucky you are until you live far away and don't get to see them and joke around with them all the time. But I really am the luckiest person ever to have the parents that I have. Anyways I am at work so no crying aloud. Anyways back to my weight loss. I am only up by 3 pounds so it is doable to get back down. I just really need to find the motivation, I really just want to go home and eat cookies and snuggle up on the couch with my husband and kiddos. But I am going to go home and workout, and I am going to bring my vidoes with me to Hemphill this weekend. Pawpaw you will have to make me do them.

Our Honeymoon

Well we are back from Mexico safe and sound. We had a great time, we stayed at the Barcelo La Jolla De Mismoloya. We weren't very impressed with the food, but it was ok. Breakfast was great. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit and fresh smoothies every morning. There was alot of fresh fish, which we both enjoyed. We really only had two days where we didn't have anything scheduled. We got there Monday after lunch, so we didnt really do anything we were exhausted. Tuesday we had a full day to do NOTHING, and instead we decided to take a walk into the town of Mismaloya, we were told to take a right after we left our resort. Well we did and we ended up walking along the highway for about 25 minutes (it was supposed to be a 15 minute walk) so we got a taxi and went back to the resort. We later found out that cross the road from our hotel the road forks and then we go right. But anyways we went into Puerto Vallarta-downtown instead, and did a little shopping, we laid out in the sun for awhile and had dinner. We were pretty much in bed by 9 every night...we are getting old you know. But we were also up by 7 every morning. At the resort you can buy these pots that are unfinished they are just clay and they have a spot where you sit and paint them, after you are finished they take them over night and put them into a kiln and fire them so they come out shiney. So I think we ended up doig a total of 6-7 pots. Well they aren't all pots, we each did a little jar for the kids, we also made salsa bowl, chip bowl, and a small plate,k plus a little bowl for my jewelry. Wednesday we laid around all day getting some sun, and that night we went on the Pirate ship. What a blast. I had done the pirate ship with Morgan family 2 years ago, but it was new to Morgan. I had forgotten that they made three girls to up on stage and sing a mexican song with an ice cube in their mouth. How funny..glad I didn't get picked. Thursday we went back into town to look for some more stuff for the kiddos, and that night we had dinner reservations at one of the restaurants at the hotel. Friday we went on what is called the outdoor adventure, you ride a mule up the mountain, then go down the mountin by zip lines and repelling down waterfalls, and free falling off of cliffs by a rope, and zip lining into rivers and hiking back up the mountain. It was SO much fun. I think that was my favourtie part of the trip. You get to meet some great people. We made some great friends that we hope to keep in touch with on that excursion. Saturday was our last full day and so we celebrated our anniversary that day. We went and had a massage together in the morning on the balcony over looking the ocean. It was wonderful. That night we went to Rythems of the Night on a private beach which is only lite up by candels, no electricity except for the show that they put on. It was so romantic. We also went to the local zoo on Saturday. It wasn't a very pretty zoo but you were able to get so close to the animals. I got to hold and play with a baby panther and Morgan got to play with a baby lion. We got to see lots of animals and get closer to them there than at a zoo here. Yeah ME!!!!

So Today was our weigh in day before Spring break. I was kinda concerned because I haven't been that great at working out last weekend and I have only worked out once this week so far. But as you can see on my tracker I am not officially down 8 pounds. I am down in inches as follows:
Waist- Down 1.5
Abs- Down 2.75
Hips- Down 1.25
Neck - Down 1
My Biceps and Thighs have stayed the same so far but I hear that you loose what you put on last first so that would make sense. Anyways I am so excited I am sure that I can drop another 2 pounds to be under 190 before we leave for Mexico. I can't wait to lay around the pool and sip water and eat fresh fruit and go running on the beach and swimming. I am going to try to remain active. Anyways back to work I go. The cutest nut ever

We went to go see Seths play last night. Morgan went home sick so he put some stew in the crockpot so that by the time we got home last night it was ready so that was awesome. But Seth was the cutest nut. There were lots of people there so at times he was kinda hard to see. He never actually had any parts on stage, but he sang all of the songs. Some of the actions he didn't do because he said that he was embarrassed. But during this one song they had to sing "We're tough we're mean we're squirrels" Well he wasn't embarrassed during that song because he was going all out it was HILARIOUS. But we got home at about 7:30 last night we ate and then I actually got a chance to workout. I was done working out at about 8:45 and by the time I was done working out everyone was asleep including Morgan. He took some prescription medication that the DR. gave him yesterday and it knocked him out. He didn't even set an alarm when he went to bed so he was an hour late getting to work this morning, but I think he feels a little better so that is good. Only 5 more days and we leave for Mexico..I can't wait. I am so excited to not have anything to worry about for 1 whole week except for how long I want to tan before I flip to the other side. Anyways gotta get to work.

Tomorrow is weight in day so we will see how I've done tomorrow.

Only 6 more days

So we only have 6 more days until we leave on our honeymoon. I am getting VERY excited, however I really wanted to be able to workout everynight until we go just to put in that extra attempt to look good in my new bathing suit. So we didn't workout all weekend because we were running around all day both days. I did however get a great workout in Friday afternoon. So I figured thats ok I will just start Monday as a new day, I don't want to give up just because I missed a workout I just need to get myself back on track. We have the munchkins this week so things are a little bit (and by a little bit I mean a lot) more hectic than normal. So we started off last night, both kids have piano lessons on Monday nights. So the origional plan was that Morgan was going to take the kids and I was going to go home and go tanning, workout, and have dinner ready by the time they got home. No Sweat. Well then Morgan called and he was taking longer at the bank than he though he would. So I did my 6 minute tan, went to the bank to meet him and pick up the kids. I got the kids well they didn't have their piano books with them. So we had to drive home real quick, get their books and grab a snack because I was STARVING. Well this is the first time that I have ever taken them usually Morgan or Kathy takes them. But that doens't matter so I didn't know how to get there. Morgan explain the dubdivision to me he said once I get into the subdivision to take the first right. Well the frist right brings you around in a circle. So I just had to drive around and ask someone if they knew where this persons house was. I finally found it. Seth went in for his lesson first. He is supposed to go for like 45 minutes I think. Well he went in at 6:10 and didn't get out until 7:25. Skylar then went in and she only goes for 30 minutes. Well after Seths lesson him and I are sitting there talking and I think hey if I call Morgan he can give me Seths spelling words and we can be working on them while we are waiting for Sky. So I call Morgan he gives me the spelling words. He then calls me back about 2 minutes later and says "Ask Seth about the play he is supposed to be in tomorrow" So I ask Seth "Seth do you have a play tomorrow?" to which Seth says "Yeah a Nut play and squirrel play" really ok well Morgan and I won't be able to go because we both have to work. Morgan then asks" Ask Seth about the Costume that he is supposed to have by tomorrow" WHAT HE NEEDS A COSTUME BY TOMORROW? So I ask Seth what kind of costume he needs. He says he needs a nut costume. So I ask him what kind of nut..a walnut, a peanut...what kind of nut...to which he says "None of those I just need to be a regular nut" HAHAHAHA ok well we can just send you just the way you are..hahahaha So we get home at 8:30 Morgan has dinner ready, I inhale some food. Morgan then informs me that Tori (Seths mom) has known about this play and has failed to make him a costume or tell us that we needed to make a costume. Which makes me angry becasue he can't be the only kid without a costume, and it isn't his fault. So at that point I am determined to make him the best nut I can make with the time limit that I had to make it in. So I went to wal-mart and got some poster board and some felt and a hot glue gun and some pipe cleaners, and I think it turned out pretty darn good. I took apicture last night when I finished, I will try to figure out how to post pictures on this thing so you can all see. Anyways there is my rant for today. The point of the story, I still didn't get to workout. So maybe tonight after baseball and the 7:00 play performance will get a chance. Thanks for listening.

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy weekend this weekend. We finished getting all the things we need for our vacation next week..only 8 more days. We went from place to place to place trying to find shorts and bathing suits for our trip. How incredibly FRUSTRATING. If really is not fun when you go into store after store after store and don't fit into any of the biggest sizes. Poor Morgan I got so frustrated that I started crying after about 7 hours of shopping on Saturday. We finally found me some shorts and a nice dress to wear. I just wanted to look good for my honeymoon. So I have some new motivation for the next week. I am going to get up at 5 in the morning tomorrow to make sure that I get my workout in. The kids are going to San Antonio with Randy and Kathy (Morgans Parents) and they leave on Friday, so I need to have their lauddry done and packed by Thursday night. I think that I might take Thursday off just to give me an extra day to get that done. Not sure yet though, it might be good for me to be at work to keep my mind off of our vacation. I think I am going to be going crazy by Friday. The girls at work are going to have to wear earplugs. So I am up typing on this blog because I can't sleep. Partly because of the time chage it doesn't feel late enough yet. But partly because I feel like I have so much to do. We were gone pretty much all day everyday this weekend so I didn't get the things done around the house that I normally do. I didn't even have a chance to workout on Saturday or today. So I am going to have to eat real well and workout like crazy this week, of course we got the kids back last night so that makes working out a little harder. But I am going to have to fit it in somewhere. Morgan bought me this really pretty perfume today (Fancy by Jessica Simpson I think) but when I got it home and opened the package the perfume had leaked and ruined the gold finish on the bottle. So I am going to have to return it tomorrow. Anyways I am going to get back to my to do list, than I am going to have to go try to make myself go to sleep. I never have a problem sleeping unless I need to get to sleep early.

Good night all, I know that was just a rambling post but I will get back to my workouts tomorrow. This next week is mostly cardio versus weight lifting. I might try to do a little of both this week, I have to weigh in on Thursday instead of next monday because the college is closed for Spring break.

Mother of all workouts

Last night was out plyometrics night. Morgan decided that he would rather go for a run. So I started plyo by myself. I did the first 40 minutes, than found out why you aren't supposed to eat right before doing this workout. It makes you sick. So for the last 20 minutes I went for a power walk around a couple of blocks to cool down. Tonight we have arms and shoulders I think, I haven't looked today. We only have 11 more days until our honeymoon, I can't wait to lay in the sun and drink some yummy frozen drinks. You know they don't put any alcohol in the drinks in Mexico. hahahahaha. Morgan has class again tonight, so it will be another late night of working out. But we will get it done. I think we have to take our frist 30 day pictures this Sunday. I will post before and after pictures after we are done the whole 90 days. But until I can say that I don't look like the before pictures. No one is going to see them except for Morgan we both did our before pictures in out bathing suits. Anyways I am going to get home and start something healthy for dinner tonight.

Weigh In

Well I probably won't have time to blog tonight. Morgan has class and probably won't be home until 7 which means we won't start we won't get done working out until around 8:30 tonight, and by the time we ear and shower it will be late and bedtime. But I wanted to tell you that I have moved up a spot at my works biggest loser challenge. I was 8th out of 42 at our last weight in and this week I am 7th out of 42. Not much of an improvement but I will take it. I need to get going this week though to make sure that I look good in a bikini...well at least half decent..I would day that I won't ever see those people again, but the last time I said that I ended up marrying the guy that I met.....guess I made a good first impression. Love you Morgan. Anyways it is time to head home and get something going for dinner so that by the time we are done working out dinner is ready.

sick

Well we didn't work out last night. I went home sick at about 2:30 yesterday, got home at about 3 and Lady and I had a nap until 5:45 when Morgan got home. I got up and ate some dinner and watched tv for a little bit and went back to back and was asleep again by 9:00 and had the hardest time getting up this morning at 6:30. I still don't feel quite right but a lot better then yesterday. So for this week we are going to start tonight and just instead of sunday just being a stretch day we will do a workout plus the stretching. Weigh in was yesterday. I have lost a few more inches here and there and lost another 1.2 pounds. So I think that is 5 pounds all together that I have lost. But I think it will stay off this time. I wish the biggest loser competition counted inches lost because I have lost more inches than pounds. My pants are all fitting a little big. So that is keeping me motivated. They haven't sent out the e mail to let us all know where we are placed, but when they do I will let you know. I am sure that I am not in the top anymore but I will be in another two weeks, because we are stepping it up this week and eating very "clean".

Its a new week

Well we have booked our honeymoon...so we have new motivation.We went and tried on bathing suit yesterday....was that ever motivation. I'm hoping I can get down at least another 5 pounds in the next 2 weeks. We leave for Puerto Vallarta on Monday the 16th. Wish me luck. I haven't blogged this weekend. But Friday night Morgan and I did our workout, we had legs and back and we were able to get through the whole DVD. Saturday I woke up at 4:45 A.M so get my workout in before we had the garage sale. We made $20....Woo Hoo. Then we went home and worked in the gardens...they look a lot better then they did. Sunday, Morgan and I worked in the yard pretty much all day spreading fertilizer and cleaning up the mess that lady has created back there. Last night we went for long walk and then we did the P90X stretching DVD. We didn't have to do anything yesterday but we chose to because we both want to get down alittle more before we leave. Anyways back to work I go.

Spelling comes first

Last night was my night to do yoga. Morgan had class so he didn't get home until 7 last night, so I thought I was going to be able to do my workout before he even got home. WRONG. Seth has a spelling test today, and he has been not doing so well in that area. So I was thinking well I can be doing yoga and going over his spelling words with him at the same time. WRONG AGAIN. I started doing yoga and reading out his words to him and then he would write them down. But then when he didn't know something he would get very frustrated. So going over spelling words is something that needed my complete attention last night, so I only got to do about 1/4 of my workout. But at least I did something. So I stopped and gave him my complete attention. When Seth gets frustrated the only way for him to learn is for me to make it funny to him. So I sounded like a fool last night with different way to get him to remember what letters go together. But it was all worth it because this morning on the way to school he could spell every word on the first try. Now hopefully he doesn't freeze when it comes to the test. I think I made him confident enough that he won't get nervous. Heres hoping, we told him that if he got at least a 70% even though we wanted 100, that we would take him swimming at the rec center. So anyways I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I know he will do well. All for now.

Day 10

So tonight was Shoulders and Arms, I used my resistance band tonight instead of weights. I think I like using bands for this workout better, I was able to adjust the band for each exercise instead fo only have either 8 or 3 pound weights to choose from. I really got a lot out of my workout tonight. I feel great. The ladies at work say they are noticing some weight loss. I don't think I have lost any pounds this week so far but I can tell that I am loosing inches. We are still looking for a place to go on our honeymoon, but it looks like we may have to go in april instead just because of the fact that we wanted to go for march break because I have a week off then, but prices are So HIGH that week, we may just have to wait. But hey the longer we wait the better I will look. HAHAHA Anyways I am going to go eat dinner and get a shower and go to bed. Morgan should already be in bed as he has to get up at 3:00 in the morning to go to work since he has school tomorrow night.

On a side note, there have all of the sudden been a lot of bad things happening in our area. Since Thursday there have been two cars stolen at gunpoint with 1 mile of where I work. Well the first one wasn't actually stolen, it was in a Randalls parking lot and the lady laid on her horn and the guy ran away. But the second one the guy actually had his car stolen. Plus there have been to kidnappings in the houston area. Which is about 1 hour from me. The latest one was already found dead but they haven't found the other woman. Anyways we are more aware of our surroundings. Morgan knew that I worked until 6:30 tonight so he drove in and waited for me in the parking lot just so he knew that i get to my car ok. He can be so sweet.

Plyo X day 9

Well I finished day 9. Morgan had to be up at 3 this morning so that he could leave work early to go to school after work, so he was exhausted so I worked out alone tonight. I am proud of myself because normally I need Morgan to keep me going when I feel like quitting, but tonight I pushed myself HARD. My back felt great during the workout but I am feeling it now. Seth had his second real baseball practice tonight and he did really well. I didn't get to start working out until 7:15 tonight so I am just finishing and grabbing a small bite to eat, we had crab and shrip gumbo tonight. Anyways I am going to go finish eating and grab a shower and hit the pillow with an ice pack on my back. Next Monday is weight in so I am trying to push it extra hard this week. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday so no meat for me tomorrow, but I think a tuna sandwich will work out perfectly for me.

Day 8-last night

Well last night way day 8. I didn't get a chance to blog after our workout last night as I had to get the kiddos into bed and homework done. But as I said the other day I have done something to my lower back, so Sunday night Morgan put some muscle stuff on my back I forget what it is called. Well I had showered Sunday night so I didn't shower again Monday morning so that stuff was on my back I guess all day (I figured it would have worn off) but anyways after 40 minutes into our workout last night my back stuarted BURNING. I mean Burning like I have never felt burning before, it brought me to tears. My back got really hot and turned beat red. I jumped in the shower (quit our workout 15 minutes early) but even the water touching my back BURNED. So I used lots of soap and rinsed off real quick. It started burning worse. I finally had Kathy look at it when she dropped the kids off after piano lessons, she told me to put an ice pack on it. That helped a lot. I ended up having the ice pack on and off for about an hour. My back still hurts today, it actually felt really good during the workout, it just hurts when I am sitting. But anyways Morgan and I both noticied an improvement in out workout since last Monday. We were both able to do a little more than last week. We both used the pull up bar, Morgan is better than me so far on the pull up bar, I still used it I just also used a chair to help me. I am scared to put icy hot on my back today incase the same thing happens during the workout tonight. We have plyometrics tonight, so I want to get the most out of that workout that I can since I had to quite early last night. Anyways Randy and Morgan did a good job on the pull up bar, I think we need to put a little more support on it to keep it from swaying, but it works for what we need it for. I am starting to ramble so I will quit for today.

Day 7

Well, we had day 7 today. Afet I had already walked like 3-4 miles earlier I wasn't able to do the whole workout tonight. I did what I was able to do. I have done something to my lower back, so I kinda took it pretty easy tonight. We ate right before we worked out tonight which was not a good idea, I think it made us kinda drag it tonight. Plus we know that tomorrow is chest and back and that killed us last week. So not much to post tonight. But we will be pumpin it up tomorrow night. I will let you know how it goes. I am going to go drink my recovery drink now.

Day 6

Well I am excited to say that morgan and I finished day 6..as I mentioned yesterday we took our rest day yesterday instead of tomorrow. But today we did the Kempo X which is basically kick boxing. The first time that we did this workout we both wanted to quit after 20 minutes. Well tonight it took us to 40 minutes to want to quit, but we didn't and we finished the workout completely today and kept up with what they were doing on the video. Morgan and I are noticing differences in ourselves. We are getting through our workouts better and I am noticing a little bit in my clothes. but more in the way that I feel. I feel like I have more energy. Which is good because we start baseball this week. Seth first practise was last week and he has another practise tomorrow. Morgan and I are going to find it challenging to workout when we have the kids, but whether we have to workout at 10 at night we will get our workouts in. I think we are going to go out dancing tonight( I am wearing my boots this time). Morgan and Randy decided to make the pull up bar in the morning instead of today since it was raining here today.

Day 5

So today was supposed to be legs and back + Ab Ripper X. However for a few of the workouts you need a pull up bar. We were just going to buy one of the ones that you put in your door frame but since Morgan is so tall he would really have to bend down to start. So instead him and Randy (Morgans Dad) are going to build us a pull up bar that we can both use at the same time. I'm a little nervous about it, but I'm sure it will work out fine. So Sunday was supposed to be our rest day, so we are switching up our week and taking today as our rest day and then we will put todays workout in place of our rest day on Sunday and after that we will be able to continue as usual. Except having the munchkins this week is going to throw a different schedule into the mix. I think we are just going to have to work out after the kids go to bed, UGH I don't like working out that late at night. I dont feel like it does as much for my body because I am going to bed right after. But that is the price that I have to pay to be able to workout with Morgan. So not much to post about today. Want to say thanks to my mom and dad for our lunch today. We finally used the gift certificate for Chilis, I just had a cobb salad with light avecado ranch dressing, and Morgan had chicken fajitas. So anyways thank you. But as for our workouts, they will continue tomorrow. It will be good for morgans back to rest it for a day I think. I was really excited to do that workout tonight, but morgan is right we are really cheating ourselves but not being able to do what they do in the video. Once we get our income tax we are going to go buy those weight that you just click in the weight you want. Right now we only have dumbells and we only have a pair each. So for some of the exercises the weights we have aren't enough and for some of them they are to much weight. Anyways I am rambling now.

I will post again tomorrow and let you know how the pull up bar turns out.

Day 4- Yoga X

Well..I found out today that I really dislike yoga. The workout today was 1 hour and 30 minutes. I had to fast forward through some of it. Morgan started it with me but since he has done something to his back he decided to take tonight as a break night. I did pretty much the whole workout but man yoga required some major balance. I got on the scale this morning and had lost another 2 pounds..but that is on our home scale and I think it is a little different than the scale that we have been weighing in on at work. So I am not going to count it. Our test will be this weekend. I do really good at eating healthy during the week. But when I am home I tend to slip up. But when I go grocery shopping tomorrow I am not going to be anything unless it is healthy. Poor Morgan. Well I am going to go eat dinner, baked chicken and asparagus again tonight. I need to find a way to spice up the recipies without adding calories.

Day 3-Shoulders and Arms, Ab RipperX

Well...today 3 is over...I didn't find the shoulders and Arm workout to be that bad I didn't really work up that much of a sweat. I think I need to be using heavier weights for that one. I might try it with resistance bands next week. Although I did do the Ap Ripper X after and boy did I work up a sweat then. It is only 20 minutes long but it does exactly what is says (rips your abs to shreds...in a good way) Morgan had to be up at 3:00 this morning to go to work so he was to tired to do the Ab workout with me but he did complete the Shoulders and Arms workout. Tomorrow wehave YOGA X........not to sure what to think. I know that I have tried Yoga in the past and HAVE NOT enjoyed it. The workout tomorrow is 1.5 hours long. It should be interesting. I have gone 2.5 weeks and been faithful on my healthy eating habits. I don't want to call it a diet because I would rather consider this a lifestyle change. I saw what my old eating habits can do and I don't like the results...you have to work to darn hard to get back to your starting point. I have to say that I think I have done much better this time around trying to loose weight than past attempts. I think it is because of all the ladies helping me out at work. When you don't have temptation at home or work it is a lot easier. Plus I want to be number 1 in the weight lose challenge to prove to myself that I can do it. Anyways time to eat something and get showered. Will post again tomorrow if I livfe through Yoga X

Day 2 = Plyo X

Well, we have completed day 2...only 87 more days to go. They say that the workout that we did tonight is the "x" in P90X. We were both out of breath by the time the warm up was over. Plyo stands for plyometrics (aka jump training) I don't think there was a move that our feet were both on the floor. It was very intense and we for the most part were able to follow pretty close to the video. There were a couple of moves that we couldn't do but we will work our way to that. it is nice working out with Morgan, when I feel like quitting I don't want him to show me up, and when he feels like quitting I make him keep going. We are both pretty competitive and are both looking for good results so we are putting all we have into these workouts. I have rug burns on my knees from yesterdays workouts. I guess if I wasn't such a wimp I would have been able to do the pushups on my feet instead of my knees and that would have prevented the problem. But anyways we are done one more day and quitting is not an option for me right now. Thanks for the comments I enjoy reading and being motivated to keep going. I am going to go attempt to brush my hair now. We are both so sore, but it is a good sore.

1st weight at work

So like I said in my last post I joined the biggest loser competition at work. Well we just got our results from the first 2 weeks and I am in 8th place out of 42 others. YEAH ME..that just gave me to motivation not to eat the candy that I want and to push extra hard in my workout tonight....I want to be frist place in another 2 weeks.

Day 1 of 90

So I decided to start blogging, for many reasons. First off to keep in touch with my family and let them know how I am doing. Secondly, Morgan and I have started the P90x program and today was our first day. We are both trying to loose weight and we ordered this workout system that we do at home. You can read more about it at www.beachbody.com. But anyways I joined The Biggest Loser competition two weeks ago today and had my first weigh in today. I have lost 4.2 pounds.....YEAH ME....36 more to go. Morgan decided to join me in my weight lose goals as support for me and for his own fitness. This is my way to hopefully motivate others who are trying to loose weight, and also to have some accountability on my part. The P90X system tells you exactly what workout (it comes with 12 different workouts) to do on what day and it also tells you what to eat. However the eating plan is kinda expensive so we are modifying it to fit our schedules So like I said, today was our first day doing P90X and tonight we had to do the Chest and Back video as well as the Ab RipperX. About half way through the chest and back video all Morgan and I could say was Ouch. It was very challenging and we weren't able to do everything that the video was doing but we will get there. This video was basically all pull ups and push ups with a few dumb bell exercises. Morgan is going to build a pull up bar this weekend. I am going to continue to use dumbbells and resistance bands instead until my upperbody gets stronger. I made us baked chicken, edamame peas(not sure how to spell it) and a nice salad for dinner. We have also started taking lots of vitamins to keep our bodies nurished with the extreme workouts that we are doing.

From the reviews that I have read about this program some people start seeing results within the first two weeks. We took out before pictures last night...and we are supposed to take them every 30 days. So I am hoping that by the time we go on our honeymoon (we are planning on leaving the 14th of march and coming back ont he 21st) we will have noticable results. Once we get comfortable with ourselves we will post some before and after pictures.

Morgan and I were sitting on the couch this evening and he leaned over to give me a kiss and tell me how great we did at our workout. But when we stayed in that leaned over position for awhile I asked him what was wrong and he said that he couldn't lean himself back the other way.

I know that I am not the best at writing and keeping it interesting. But I will be blogging for the next 90 days to track my progress and keep myself motivated. Wish us luck. I can't wait for plyometrics X tomorrow night (jump training).
